Oliver Grayson is the son of Nolan Grayson and Andressa, the step-son of Debbie Grayson, the paternal younger half-brother of Mark Grayson and the second born grandson of Argall.

History[]

When Omni-Man left Earth, he embarked on a soul search, and rescued a Thraxan transport, and was given amnesty, that's when he met Andressa and the two became married and gave birth to their child.

Half a year later, Mark was summoned to help his brother, after learning that Nolan and Andressa have a son, Mark feels increasingly bitter towards Nolan and even expresses great disbelief upon reacting to his younger sibling, claiming that Nolan replaced him. Although Oliver appears to be a few years old, due to Thraxan DNA, they develop more rapidly than humans do, living their whole lives a few months on Earth, and when mixed with Viltrumite DNA, this will let his the boy live to thousands of years old.

Upon talking to Andressa, he became sympathetic to Andressa and the child, during a moment of discussion, and also tried to grab his brother hand. He then he saved them from Lucan, Andressa and her child were last seen hiding deeper into the caves to avoid detection from the Viltrumites.

Time to go[]

Invincible reunites with his brother and Andressa at the palace, with Invincible blaming him and his dad for the destruction of thraxa. The brother is seen looking at his brother and goes to his leg for support.

2 months later, Invincible is told to leave Thraxa with his brother. At first Mark denies this, but Andressa believes it to be a better lifestyle, because she doesn't want her child to live alone knowing entire generations vanish before knowledge on Thraxa can evolve into something more, she would want him to live on Thraxa, only when Nolan was still on the planet, but now he's gone, She must go to Mark for support.

Mark and his brother return to Earth, and Debbie meets the new brother. Quickly the two decide to keep him, but consider certain treatments for the boy, as Mark doesn't to abandon him, or give him to Cecil.

Cecil arrives later and notices the child. he offers the best of tutors and care, but they deny it. Cecil is somewhat trying to get Debbie to think about the decision.

Debbie will not let Cecil take over Oliver's life.

The child is then given a name, Debbie calls him Oliver, named after his step Grandfather, Debbie's father. Debbie decides to keep Oliver, rather than to give him up to Cecil, Debbie admits to Cecil it's not about them but Mark and Oliver, that the betterment of Nolan. When Mark returns from space he comes by to see how Oliver is doing, as Oliver is able to put cups together, when Debbie calls Mark, Oliver goes to Mark, calling Brah-brah, trying to call him Brother. Oliver then is seen crawling all over of the house when April, his new tutor show up and is given a new toy. Oliver calls Debbie "Momma-Boss", upon hearing that Debbie will be in charge of April taking care of Oliver.

    • Enhanced Learning: Because Thraxans are of an advanced learning quality and the child has Thraxan blood from his mother, he will gain very quick intelligence in just one Earth year & gather and assimilate any kind of knowledge and understand it fully and instantaneously.
    • Decelerated Aging: Unlike many species, Thraxans age quicker, and live up to around almost a whole year. However, Oliver's case is different. As Viltrumite DNA tends to be the more dominant in offspring, he will live for thousands of years. However, his growth is still possibly faster than that of a Viltrumite.

  • Oliver Grayson is based off of Superboy/Jon Kent from the DC Comics and Goten from Dragon Ball Z.
  • Oliver Grayson's first and last names are references to other DC comic Super Heroes: Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) and Dick Grayson (Nightwing).
  • Oliver is the second major character in Invincible to be a Viltrumite hybrid.
  • Unlike other Viltrumites, Oliver appears to have a purple skin color like in the comics.
  • Because of Oliver's purple skin, it has a led to a meme of Oliver being "Baby Thanos", [1]
  • In the comics, Mark accepted Oliver as his brother after meeting him, but in the show he finds it very uncomfortable and lacks any care for him until talking to Andressa about Nolan.
  • IMDB confirmed Oliver's voice actor for his toddler form to be Lincoln Bodin who was cast in season 2. [2]
  • Oliver was foreshadowed in Season 1 when Omni Man admitted to Mark that he can always have another kid.
